Animal Expert Witness Service specialises in supporting the legal profession in animal related litigation matters. Our stable of consultants has many years of court experience. We have sometimes been challenged to find experts for some unusual species and some unusual matters. Our network of contacts extends throughout Australia and beyond, to New Zealand, the USA and Europe.

We currently have experts in most animal species. This list is continually growing. If we do not have an expert relating to a particular animal species we will locate one for you.
The following is a small sample of the experts provided by our service:

• Expert in cattle related matters Veterinary Surgeon and on-farm production consultant.
• Expert in bird related matters Veterinary Surgeon and guest lecturer at Melbourne University on Avian health. Actively involved in providing advisory service to industry members concerned with Avian health and behaviour.
• Expert in horse related matters Past director, Horse Business Management Studies Marcus Oldham College. Practising Veterinary Surgeon. Previously an elite level showjumping competitor. Involved in providing advice on equine health-related issues and the area of Occupational Health and Safety. Extensive experience as expert witness, including court appearances up to and including the Supreme Court.
• Expert in dingo related matters A well published advisor with numerous consultancies at state and federal government level on natural resource policy and management.

• Experts in animal behaviour

We have four university-trained animal behaviour experts with appropriate industry experience to cover behaviour-related problems on which we are asked to provide an expert witness report.
